3.Easy specification of the balancer can apply to the different lids.
4.Easy to adjust the torque with the visuality function, constant power can be worked with in the usage.
5.Easy to assemble. The design of integrative structure and the special spring make it completely free maintenance.
6.Opening the lids aslant can be allowed, the maximum oblique angle of W10-W50 is 40 and the maximum obligue angle of W70-W350 is 30, it depends on the torque calculation under the different oblique angle.

Installation and commissioning instruction
1.Confirm the minimum gap between the base and the top cover, then measure the minimum distance between the cover and the base.
2.Make sure the COB (Connection panel Of the Balancer) and the COc (connection panel of the top cover) are parallel to each other. please use the horizontal adjustment bolt or install the auxiliary washer.
3.According to the size of the base and top cover, making-off the COB and cutting.
4.Welding the cOB, the base plate of top cover and the preassembled accessory together.
5.Confirm the welding strength then do the preliminary test.
5.1 Open the top cover to the position with maximum angle
5.2 For w10-w5o, Rotate the torque adjuster to the opening direction, enhance the pre-torque and screw the bolts firmly.
For w70-w350, Rotate the torque adjuster into the adjustment hole in order of (1)- (2), fix and enhance the pre-torque.
5.3 Under the condition of protection, please close the top cover. Also it should be hold between 10-20° smoothly otherwise please retry the Step.5.2 again.
5.4 Welding and make sure the welding strength quality, rubbing down smoothly.
6.Fine-tuning the opening cover angle (horizontal adjustment bolts) if need.
7.For it needs to keep opening statue or person need to operate into the lid during the working process. After the top cover is opened completely, secure the bolts in the anti-dump spout.

Application Scenarios of Cover Opening Buffers
Cover opening buffers are used across a wide range of industries where covers or lids require frequent and safe handling. Key applications include:
1. Industrial Machinery
Heavy machinery often contains service covers or inspection panels. A buffer ensures that when these covers are opened, they do not swing uncontrollably or close unexpectedly, protecting both workers and equipment.
2. Manholes and Underground Access Points
In utility networks, manholes provide access to sewers, drainage systems, or telecom cables. A cover opening buffer prevents the cover from slamming shut, improving safety during maintenance activities.
3. Storage Tanks and Pressure Vessels
Tanks used in chemical, food, or energy industries have heavy access lids. Buffers regulate the opening motion, reducing strain on hinges and operators while maintaining safety standards.
4. Transportation and Automotive Applications
Trucks, buses, and railway systems use buffers in storage compartments, engine hatches, and access covers. They minimize noise and wear caused by repeated use.
5. Marine and Offshore Facilities
Ships and oil platforms employ buffers in hatch covers and storage lids. These environments require corrosion-resistant buffers capable of withstanding saltwater exposure.
6. Food Processing and Pharmaceutical Equipment
Mixers, kettles, and sterilizers often use buffers to allow smooth lid operation. This not only prevents accidents but also complies with hygiene and safety regulations.
Usage Instructions for Cover Opening Buffers
Correct use of cover opening buffers ensures smooth operation, reduces wear, and maximizes safety.
1. Installation Guidelines
Positioning: Install the buffer near the hinge or pivot point where it can effectively absorb energy.
Alignment: Ensure proper alignment between the buffer and the moving cover. Misalignment can cause uneven force distribution.
Mounting: Secure with bolts, brackets, or integrated hinges according to manufacturer instructions.
Capacity Matching: Select a buffer designed for the specific weight and size of the cover.
2. Operating Procedures
Opening the Cover: Apply gentle force to initiate movement. The buffer will gradually absorb energy, preventing sudden or jerky motion.
Holding Position: Some buffers include a locking or holding feature to keep the cover in place during operation.
Closing the Cover: Apply steady downward force; the buffer controls the speed and prevents slamming.
3. Maintenance Recommendations
Inspection: Check regularly for cracks, corrosion, or reduced performance.
Lubrication: Lubricate moving parts (if applicable) to maintain smooth action.
Replacement: Buffers may lose effectiveness over time due to wear or loss of internal pressure (in pneumatic types). Replace when performance drops.
Cleaning: Remove dirt and debris from buffer surfaces to prevent obstruction.
Common Issues and Troubleshooting
Even though cover opening buffers are designed for durability, issues may arise over time. Below are common problems and solutions:
1. Buffer Does Not Absorb Impact Properly
Cause: Internal wear, loss of pressure, or damaged damping mechanism.
Solution: Replace the buffer with a new unit of the correct rating.
2. Cover Closes Too Quickly
Cause: Incorrect installation angle or misalignment.
Solution: Reinstall and adjust alignment according to specifications.
3. Noise During Operation
Cause: Lack of lubrication or loose mounting hardware.
Solution: Apply lubricant to moving joints and tighten bolts or brackets.
4. Corrosion or Rusting
Cause: Exposure to moisture, chemicals, or marine environments.
Solution: Use stainless steel or coated buffers designed for corrosive conditions.
5. Buffer Becomes Stiff or Jammed
Cause: Dirt buildup, internal seal damage, or misalignment.
Solution: Clean buffer components, check seals, and realign installation. Replace if necessary.
Safety Considerations
Using a cover opening buffer significantly enhances safety, but additional precautions should be followed:
Load Rating: Always match buffer capacity with the actual weight of the cover.
Testing: Before working under an open cover, ensure the buffer holds securely.
PPE Use: Workers should wear gloves and protective gear when operating covers.
Environment-Specific Materials: For marine or chemical industries, choose corrosion-resistant buffers.
Emergency Protocols: In case of buffer failure, workers should avoid standing directly under the open cover.
Best Practices for Cover Opening Buffers
Choose the Right Type
Select buffers suitable for the application: spring-loaded, gas-damped, or hydraulic.
Prevent Overloading
Do not exceed the rated weight capacity. Overloading reduces lifespan and risks sudden failure.
Scheduled Maintenance
Inspect buffers regularly, and replace them when performance declines.
Replace in Pairs (if applicable)
If multiple buffers are used on one cover, replace them together to maintain balance.
Follow Manufacturer Guidelines
Always install and operate buffers according to manufacturer manuals for optimal safety.
Training for Operators
Provide training on safe opening and closing procedures to minimize accidents and ensure proper handling.
